Float Trip!

We realized the other day that we've been up here going on two months and have yet to do most of the things that we would do if we only had a couple of days. Tragic. To remedy the situation, we planned a float trip and hit the river!

Nora had a pretty posh setup- we had to take the carseat in the raft so we could drive back at the end of the trip. Add an umbrella, and she's ridin' in style! Our efforts were not in vain- between the sunblock, her hat, and the umbrella, she made it through completely un-sunburned.

It was a gorgeous day, so of course Dave wanted to get out and swim. Before he took the plunge, though, he took Nora out to have a good look at her surroundings from a different point of view. That water was COLD!


It was fun to take Nora on a trip that Dave has taken so many times over the years. She even got to ride in "Yoda," the Land Cruiser that stays at the cabin for this very purpose. We made sure to teach her how to hum along while driving down the dusty "Indiana Jones Road."

It was so nice to get away during the week and just enjoy the beauty that surrounds us!
